You've probably heard the terrible joke about Belgian roads, but here's the plot twist: Belgium is also one of Europe's leaders when it comes to electric vehicles and bike-friendly cities. Turns out, we're full of surprises.
In the stunning city of Ghent, this course will immerse you in the world of mobility. We'll look at the challenges we're facing today, but also focus on the exciting possibilities ahead. Think marine transport, railway infrastructure and new technologies, the environmental impact of different types of cars, and even how smarter city planning can really change the way we live and move.
But it's not all lectures and discussions. Ghent itself is part of the experience. Picture yourself wandering through medieval streets, canals glowing in the evening light, grabbing a cone of crispy fries, and sharing laughs with new friends over a waffle or two… or three. Absolutely worth the sugar crash! With its largely car-free historic center, Ghent will definitely show you an interesting take on mobility.
You'll meet people from all kinds of backgrounds, swap ideas, and make connections that go beyond the classroom. So, ready for this incredible adventure? Come join us in Ghent for a week full of ideas, good food, new people, and a fresh way of looking at how we move.
